I went to take final IS& knowledge management lecture in this semester tonight. It’s very interesting to find thatalthough my major is HRM, however, I am taking two information systems subjects in this semester. Of course, they are my elective courses. I find that the two subjects are much easier than HRM subjects. For HRM, the assessments are so complex. Every subject usually comprises at least three assignments. Say, two individual essays (one is small and another is big), and one group presentation. Too many paper work.
However, IS subjects are more interesting. For instance, learn some new technology and information, such as WiKi, YouTube. It’s quite fun. It’s totally new learning experience for me. I am quite enjoying though. It also recalls some work experiences of implementation of Systems in my previous organizations. I used to involve in project teams to implement HRIS and EPR system in two different organizations. At that time, I have less knowledge and skills in terms of project management and information systems. After I took the IS courses, I reflect my experiences and incidents of implementation systems. I realize that what I have learnt from these courses, it will helps to understand what factors impact on implementation systems in an organization and how to implement successful systems in company that sort of things.
